Anita Kocsis, a visual artist lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. Anitas exhibition history spans over a ten year period. The exhibition content has included painting, installation - electronic arts (sound and light ,digital video).Anita is senior lecturer in Multimedia Design at The National Institute of Design, Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.

Anita Kocsis investigates "immersion environments" with emphasis on intersections between fact and fiction constructs. Her time spent working as a nervous_object, http://no.va.com.au and work online facilitated her interest in the web as an excellent repository for illusion and error. Fantasy and myth inform and fuel the digital flora and fauna componentry of her phantom nature electronic installations. As one of the recipients of the 'Log in' residency she began her work on "Neonverte", an online garden. "Invisible Viridian" at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art was a constructed terrain of sound and LED's. "Cultivar", a digital image series reflects her interest in the prismic survival qualities of nature. Recently Anita presented "neonverte" at Tepapa Museum in Wellington, New Zealand. Kocsis recently was a recipient of an Australia China Residency in Hong Kong as she undertook a series of field studies recording 'urban nature'.
